Title:
MULTIBEAM WRITER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3649581
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deviation of a write start position in the main scanning direction of respective beams and to prevent an output image from being oscillated in the main scanning direction by providing a light quantity setting means for generating light beam detecting signals to be applied to sensors for every light beam and controlling quantities of respective light beams.
SOLUTION: This writer is provided with light quantity setting means (12-1 to 14-2, OR1, OR2 and MPU) for generating the light beam detecting signal to be applied to a sensor 11 and controlling the quantity of light. Then, the light beam detecting signals to be applied to sensors 11 for every light beam are generated by the light quantity setting means (12-1 to 14-2, OR1, OR2 and MPU), the quantities of light are respectively controlled and the level of the light beam detecting signals are controlled so as to generate respective synchronizing signals when every light beam is located at each reference position in respect to the sensor 11. By setting such a controlled value to the light quantity setting means, the write start position in the main scanning direction of respective beams is matched with each reference start position and the output image is not fluctuated in a main scanning direction (x).
