Title:
MULTICOLOR IMAGE FORMING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3646473
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to form such an image by using a toner that has uniform gloss and shows almost same high picture quality as a photograph on a printing paper by silver salt photography, and to form an image on which characters or marks can be written with a writing tool and tags can be easily stuck.
SOLUTION: In this method, first, a latent image is formed on a latent image holding body by using light beams modulated according to the image information. Then a toner image is formed by using a powder toner of at least cyan, magenta and yellow colors on the latent image holding body. Then the toner image is transferred to a transfer body, and the toner image on the transfer body is fixed. Then the transparent layer is applied on the formed image surface. The transparent layer consists of an inorg. oxide fine particles having 1.40 to 1.60 refractive index and a water-soluble resin. The refractive index n of the binder resin which constitutes the powder toner, the refractive index N of the inorg. oxide fine particles above described, and the average thickness T (μm) of the transparent layer are controlled to satisfy the relation of -1.3≤(n-N)×T≤1.3.
