PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain a sharp color picture by making every color developement different due to each reaction of leuco dye contained in a transfer layer and a developer, a diazo compound and a coupler, and a leuco dye and the coupler.
CONSTITUTION: A multicolor picture heat sensitive recording medium comprises a transfer sheet having a high temperature transfer layer (a) making an alkali material forming a lower layer as the main component, and a low temperature transfer layer (b) making a leuco dye forming an upper layer as the main component, a receiving sheet having a layer 1 making a diazo compound forming in the low layer and a coupler as the main component and layer II making the leuco dye forming the upper layer and a developer as the component. The color developements due to the reactions of the leuco dye contained in the transfer layer and a developer contained in the layer I, the diazo dye contained in the layer II, and the coupler and the leuco dye contained in the layer II and the developer are different color tone, respectively. Thereby, a sharp multicolor pictures can be recorded on the receiving sheet.
