Abstract:
To provide multicomponent vaccines for the prevention and treatment of staphylococcal infections.
The multicomponent vaccines include an immunologically effective amount of an isolated fibrinogen binding domain of Clumping factor A derived from Staphylococcus aureus and an immunologically effective amount of a capsular polysaccharides type 5 of an isolated Staphylococcus aureus, or multicomponent vaccines include the immunologically effective amount of the fibrinogen binding domain and an immunologically effective amount of a capsular polysaccharides type 8 of an isolated Staphylococcus aureus.
