Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a multicoordinate contact head in which accuracy and reproducibility of measurement are enhanced while ensuring contact conditions predetermined in all contacting directions for a machine measuring a work or a machine tool.
CONSTITUTION: A contact pin 2 is provided with a multipoint bearing having a large number of bearing positions. Each bearing position comprises a bush 14 built in a measuring disc 10 as a counterpart for bearing bodies, i.e., balls 15, arranged in the bush 14 on the bottom 13 of the case for the contact head. Automatic adjustment of the ball 15 is ensured by that fact that the ball bodies 16 carrying the ball 15 are born rotatably in a counterbore 18.
