Abstract:
To further effectively cool inter-bore parts being portions between adjacent cylinder bores.SOLUTION: A multicylinder engine 1 comprises a cylinder block 5 having a plurality of cylinder bores 7 which are arranged in series to a direction orthogonal to a cylinder axis, bore walls 7a forming the cylinder bores 7, and a water jacket 52 arranged outside a radial direction of the bore walls 7a so as to surround the plurality of cylinder bores 7. Peripheral heat transport parts 44 including regions corresponding to inter-bore parts Ba being continuous portions of the adjacent bore walls, extending to a peripheral direction from the regions, and reaching a position corresponding to the water jacket 52 are arranged at the bore walls 7a. The thermal conductivity of the peripheral heat transport part 44 in the peripheral direction is higher than the thermal conductivity of a portion other than the peripheral heat transport part 44 in the peripheral direction out of the bore walls 7a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
