PURPOSE: To improve efficiency of variable control and facilitate working by forming a valve guide hole orthogonal relating to an axial line in a radial direction of an intermediate partitioning plate passing through a passage of connecting two cylinders, so as to sufficiently ensure a reciprocating stroke of a slide valve arranged in the valve guide hole.
CONSTITUTION: In a compressor 3, an electric motor part 5 and a compressor part 9 are arranged in the inside of a sealed case 1. Here in the compressor part 9, two cylinders 11, 13 of compression phase 180° different from each other are arranged, and suction/delivery ports 33, 39 are formed in these cylinders. In an intermediate partitioning plate 15 arranged between both the cylinders 11, 13, a passage 43 for connecting both the cylinders 11, 13, serving as high/low pressure chamber sides, is formed. Further in a valve guide hole 45 of traversing the connecting passage 43, a slide valve for opening/closing it is slidably arranged. The valve guide hole 45 is formed orthogonal relating to an axial line W in a radial direction of the intermediate partitioning plate 15 passing through the connecting passage 43. In this way, force of pressing the slide valve is stabilized to eliminate vibration due to a pressure pulsation.
