Title:
MULTIELEMENT COPOLYMER AND RESIN MODIFIER OR RESIN COMPATIBILIZING AGENT USING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04218517
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a new indene-containing multielement copolymer, consisting essentially of a polymerization component in inexpensive naphtha oil and maleimide, capable of designing the melting temperature for a desired value and useful as a modifier, etc., for imparting heat resistance to thermoplastic resins. CONSTITUTION:A multielement copolymer is composed of (A) a polymerization component, composed of an 8-11C aromatic hydrocarbon and containing indene as a main polymerization component in naphtha oil and (B) maleimide (preferably N-phenylmaleimide or cyclohexylmaleimide) as essential components and further (C) a polymerization component (preferably styrene, acrylonitrile, etc.) copolymerizable with the components (A) and/or (B). The polymerization composition ratio of the components (A) to (B) is preferably regulated so as to provide about 50mol% component (B) based on the total number of mol of the components (A) and (B).
