Title:
MULTIFILAMENT TYPE SUPERCONDUCTIVE WIRE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2725541
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a large current superconductive wire in which distribution unevenness of current running in each filament due to reverse flow, etc., is prevented by setting filament circles in a specified distance wherein the filament circles are formed by coiling into layers to form a large synthetic magnetic field.
CONSTITUTION: A wire is coiled into layers and the magnetic fields of the wire are made to interfere each other to form a large resultant magnetic field. Regarding multifilaments-based superconductive wire 1 with the above mentioned structure, the filament positions are rotationally set almost coaxially in a prescribed pitch. Consequently, to the uniform and altering magnetic field to be applied to vertically to the wire, it is prevented to run induced current due to the magnetic field rectangular to the filaments. Further, regarding the total of the gap 4 of the filament outer circle 2 and the filament inner circle 3, the ratio of the total A of synthetic magnetic fields Bo, Bi in the direction to the total A+B of the whole is so set as to make η=A/(A+B) be 0.5 or less, a half or less. Consequently, current does not flow reversely in the inner circle 3 and the cross section surface area of the filaments works effectively and thus a large current superconductive wire can be provided.
