Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow not only persons walking freely to some degree but also person handicapped concerning their legs to easily move to a chair forming an auxiliary bar projecting from the tip of an arm rest in the state of being freely attachable and detachable at the holes of a substrate on right/left of a seat part or holes formed at the tip of the arm rest.
SOLUTION: The auxiliary bar 5 to be fixed in the state of being freely attachable and detachable to the two holes 13a formed on both sides of the substrate 13 is constituted of two leg parts fitted to the holes 13a in the state of being freely attachable and detachable, a horizontal part 52 fixing the upper tips of the leg parts and a grasping part 53 projecting forward compared with the seat part 1 from a vertical part fixed to the tip of the part 52 through a curved part 52. When an aged or handicapped person approaches a multifunction chair in a wheelchair, a step 31 is housed in the recessed part 32 of a front hung part to make the front hung part 3 flat and the auxiliary bar 5 is attached by using the holes 13a of the substrate 13. When the bar 5 obstructs, a locking rod 46 is depressed to rotate the arm rest 4 to release the upper surface of the bar 5 to detach the bar 5 from the substrate 3.
