To provide a multifunction device including a user interface with high usability using a touch panel even when shared by a plurality of users.

The multifunction device displays shortcut items on the touch panel and when detecting touch operations to the shortcut item, the device transfers the touch panel display to a function operation screen of specific functions associated to the shortcut item. The multifunction device accepts settings regarding correspondence between the shortcut items and the specific functions with distinguishing separate settings for every user and common settings which are common among the plurality of users. The multifunction device, by accepting specific switching operations, switches displays between a separate shortcut screen on which the shortcut items regarding the separate settings are provided and a common shortcut screen on which the shortcut items regarding the common settings are provided.
