PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunctional printer apparatus capable of enhancing operational convenience. SOLUTION: The multifunctional printer apparatus is provided with: an icon database for storing icon image data of icons whose connection destinations can be identified; a connection destination database for storing telephone numbers to particularize connection destinations, URLs and the icon image data in cross-reference with each other; an IP channel connection means for making communication with the opposite party of the connection destination via an IP network on the basis of a designated URL; a telephone line connection means making communication with the opposite party of the connection destination via a telephone network on the basis of a designated telephone number; a display means for reading and displaying the icon image data stored in the icon database; a selection means for selecting icons displayed on the display means; and a control means for reading the telephone number or the URL to particularize the connection destination related to the selected icon by the selection means from the connection destination database and selects either of the IP channel connection means and the telephone line connection means to make communication.
