To obtain a multifunctional resin composition useful for environment-improving applications involving negative ion amplification and its sustainability maintenance, use of far-infrared rays radiating at the same time, and antimicrobial activity and deodorization by a photocatalytic material used.
The multifunctional resin composition is obtained by admixing together a specific macromolecular base material, rare element-containing minerals, tourmaline or far-infrared-radiating ceramics, and the photocatalytically functional material. This multifunctional resin composition has positive ion-suppressive activity in combination with antimicrobial activity and deodorizing function attributable to the copresence of negative ion excitation-promoting activity, far-infrared radiation and the photocatalytic material. An expanded resin composition and laminated material each obtained from this multifunctional resin composition are also provided respectively.
