SOLUTION: This multifunctional telephone set is provided with a handset 36, input-output interfaces (32 and 42) to which the portable telephone set 17 is connected, and communication controlling parts (31 and 41) which control speech communication in a wire speech communication mode through the handset 36, and a wire speech communication line and speech communication in a radio speech communication mode through the handset, the set 17 and a radio speech communication line are also connected to a control unit 14. The multifunctional telephone set uses the handset 36 and can execute speech communication through the set 17.
