Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a multihead printer capable of obtaining the arrangement form of the heads of a small-sized and inexpensive four-head type color printing mechanism and the mechanism of scanning paper.
CONSTITUTION: In a multihead printer having printing heads 16-19 corresponding to respective colors and successively passing transfer paper 29 the positions of the printing heads 16-19 to perform color printing due to the superpositions of respective colors, two printing heads 16, 17 (or 18, 19) are arranged in opposed relation to one platen roller 14 (or 15) to form a recording unit A (or B). Two sets of recording units A, B consisting of the platen rollers 14, 15 and the printing heads 16, 17 and 18, 19 are provided.
