PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer capacitor that allows being easily embedded in a substrate and achieving low ESL.SOLUTION: A first terminal electrode 5 has an electrode portion 5b disposed on a first side surface 2c and connected to a plurality of first internal electrodes, and an electrode portion 5a disposed on a first primary surface 2a and extending in a width direction of an element body 2. A second terminal electrode 6 has an electrode portion 6b disposed on the first side surface 2c and connected to a plurality of second internal electrodes, and an electrode portion 6a disposed on the first primary surface 2a and extending in the width direction. A third terminal electrode 7 has an electrode portion 7b disposed on a second side surface 2d and connected to the plurality of first internal electrodes, and an electrode portion 7a disposed on the first primary surface 2a and extending in the width direction. A fourth terminal electrode 8 has an electrode portion 8b disposed on the second side surface 2d and connected to the plurality of second internal electrodes, and an electrode portion 8a disposed on the first primary surface 2a and extending in the width direction.
