Abstract:
PURPOSE: To decrease stray capacity by making a through hole at a specific part of a ceramic sheet and filling the through hole with a filter having permittivity lower than that of the ceramic sheet.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of ceramic sheets 2, each printed with at least electrodes 3, 4 and a circuit pattern 5, are laminated while incorporating circuit elements 6, 7 comprising at least a capacitor before it is fired. In such multilayer ceramic device 1, through holes 8, 9 are made through the ceramic sheet 2 at a part sandwiched by the adjacent electrodes 3, 4 of the circuit elements 6, 7 and a part sandwiched by the electrodes 3, 4 and a circuit pattern 5 contiguous to the circuit elements 6, 7. The through holes 8, 9 are filled with fillers 10, 11 having permittivity lower than that of the ceramic sheet 2. For example, the through holes 8, 9 are made in zigzag through the plurality of ceramic sheets 2 such that the openings are not overlapped between the opposing ceramic sheets 2, 2.
