Abstract:

To provide a multilayer elastic belt which has the advantages that the elasticity of rubber provided as an intermediate layer is not impaired, whatever hardness a surface layer material used therein may have, and that the frictional coefficient of the belt surface is not increased.

There is a multilayer elastic belt for an electrophotographic device at least composed of three layers, consisting of a surface layer comprising a mold releasable material, an elastic layer comprising an elastic rubber material and a base material layer comprising a high-strength resin material, in the order starting from the surface side, and the surface layer has a rugged face which is transferred from a mold face having a rugged face. A method for manufacturing the belt is also disclosed.
