Abstract:
To provide multilayer structures comprising carbon nanotube heaters.SOLUTION: There is disclosed a multilayer structure including: a first heater layer including a CNT heater, the CNT heater comprising a composite of carbon nanotubes and silicone; and a second heater layer including a PTC heater, the PTC heater comprising a composite of carbon black and a polymer. The first heater layer and the second heater layer are respectively in an electrical series. The first heater layer has a negative temperature coefficient with respect to electrical resistivity, and the second heater layer has a positive temperature coefficient with respect to electrical resistivity. There is also disclosed an aircraft component including the multilayer structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
