Abstract:
To provide a lightweight multilayer-structured fabric of filament/staple composite structure having high-grade surface feeling free from weave design defects.
The multilayer-structured fabric is such that obverse side warps consist of single staple spun yarns and the reverse side warps consist of multifilament yarns, wherein the staple spun yarns are each No.30 or thinner in terms of English cotton count and the multifilament yarns are each the same as or thinner than the staple spun yarns in fineness. It is preferable that each of the multifilament yarns have real twists with a twist multiplier of 500-10,000 and have an elongation at break higher than that of each of the staple spun yarns by 2% or more.
