To provide a multilayer-structured woven fabric with bulkiness and voluminous feeling, high in thermal insulation, and also good in softnesss, water-absorbing tendency and hygroscopicity, and to provide a method for producing the multilayer-structured woven fabric.
The multilayer-structured woven fabric comprises a plurality of fabric layers and sandwich layers interposed in between these respective fabric layers. In the plurality of fabric layers, for at least the uppermost layer and the lowermost layer, the warps and/or wefts are joined each other, and at least one of the sandwich layers is formed by removing dissolvable fibers from a presandwich layer where composite yarns comprising the dissolvable fiber yarns and non-dissolvable fiber yarns are arranged without forming design points in at least part of warps and wefts.
