Title:
MULTILAYERED ARRAY ANTENNA
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0440003
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To operate in two frequency bands and to use two orthogonal polarized waves in common by arranging a patch for high band through a dielectric onto a patch for low band so as to make the respective main polarized waves orthogonal.

CONSTITUTION: A dielectric 1b and a patch 6 for high band are formed on a patch 3 for low band and further, this patch 6 for high band is equipped with a through hole 4 for feeding to supply microwaves to the patch 6 for high band. The patch 3 for low band is used in the low frequency band, among two using frequency bands, and the patch 6 for high band is used in the high frequency band. Further, the two main polarized waves of the patch 3 for low band and the patch 6 for high band are made orthogonal. Thus, the array antenna sharing the polarized waves can be realized to be operated as the array antenna commonly used for two frequencies.
