PURPOSE: To provide the title apparatus wherein a crew can smoothly get on and off a vehicle placed on a lower pallet, though a depth of a pit storing the lower pallet is made small enough to place the vehicle on the lower pallet.

CONSTITUTION: A lower pallet 12A is provided at the bottom of a pit 2. A vehicle way deck 13A is provided above the lower pallet 12A and a fixed space, in which a vehicle can be stored on the lower pallet 12A, is left between them. The lower pallet 12A and the vehicle way deck 13 can be raised and lowered. When the lower pallet 12A is lowered so as to be positioned at the bottom of the pit 2, the vehicle way deck 13A is moved downward to the lower pallet 12A so that a space between the lower pallet 12A and the vehicle way deck 13A is in a fixed space. When the vehicle way deck 13A is raised, the vehicle way deck 13A is moved upward to the lower pallet 12A so that a space, in which a crew can walk without hindrance, is formed between the lower pallet 12A and the vehicle way deck 13A.
