Abstract:
PURPOSE: To continue data reproducing without increasing the delay ever in the case of the data transfer speed lower than the reproducing speed.
CONSTITUTION: A reproducing scenario of respective constituting element data of multimedia information in a storage device 11 is stored in a memory 8, and an information center 6 reads out first data of multimedia information from the storage device 11 to send it through a communication network 12 in response to a request from a terminal equipment 1 and starts a timer 9. When data is received by the terminal equipment 1 and a confirmation command is received, the reproducing scenario is referred to determine the data to be reproduced just after the time obtained by subtracting the transfer time of the confirmation command from the time which is measured by the timer 9 and is elapsed after the transfer start of multimedia information, and data is read out from the storage device 11 and is transferred to the terminal equipment 1.
