Abstract:

PURPOSE: To dispense with mounting a manipulator individually and shift an object held on an arm to an arbitrary position easily and speedily without changing a stepping foot, by constituting some of the legs of a multiped walking robot for use as arm, too.
CONSTITUTION: A walking robot body 10 is equipped with a base seat 11 for foot and a rotary base seat 12 which is installed in a revolutionally drivable manner around a turning shaft 13 at the center of the base seat 11. The base seat 11 for legs is equipped with at least three feet 15 driven for the walking operation, and the rotary base seat 12 is equipped with at least two auxiliary feet 16 which possess the function for use as arm.
