Abstract:

To provide a multiple antigenic peptide immunogenic against Streptococcus pneumoniae.

There is provided the multiple antigenic peptide [(multiple antigenic peptide) (multi-antigenic peptide )] (MAP) conferring protection against S. pneumoniae challenge. The multiple antigenic peptide includes a peptide immunospecifically binding to a monoclonal antibody. There is also provided a method for conferring protective immunity against the Streptococcus pneumoniae by administering a vaccine comprising the immunogenic peptide and a therapeutic composition comprising the MAP.
