A clutch device having a first clutch means 64 provided on a first transmission input shaft 22 and a second clutch means 72 provided on a second transmission input shaft 24 is provided in a multiple clutch device for a motive power unit or a double clutch device 12. At least one of the clutch means 64, 72 has an operation piston 110 or 130 partitioning a pressure chamber 118 or 140 to operate the clutch means, preferably, operate them in the interlocking relationship using a pressure medium, preferably, a liquid pressure medium. At this time, the operation piston separates the pressure chamber from a centrifugal force pressure compensation chamber 120 or 142 which receives a pressure compensation medium and is arranged in a corresponding manner.
