To provide a lance for forming a plurality of multiple coherent gas jets that are proximate one another using a single lance.
The lance has (A) an end face equipped with a plurality of tapered/divergent nozzles each having inlet and outlet apertures, wherein (B) each nozzle is mounted in an angle that sets it apart from other nozzles, (C) the inlet aperture of each of the plurality of nozzles communicates with a single common gas source, and the outlet aperture of each nozzle is located on an operating surface at the end of the lance. The lance has (D) at least one ejecting means that is located at the end face of the lance and surrounds the inlet apertures of the plurality of nozzles and (E) an extended part that extends from the end face of the lance and forms a volume that communicates with each of the outlet apertures of the plurality of nozzles and the ejecting means.
