PURPOSE: To prevent partial wear of facings by applying coats of facings to the surfaces of core plates provided with respective spring connecting claws except the spring connecting claws and their surrounding portions.
CONSTITUTION: Coats of facings 42 are applied to the surfaces of core plates 41 provided with spring connecting claws 41a except for the spring connecting claws 41a and the surrounding portions of the spring connecting claws 41a. When the spring connecting claws 41a are formed flexing molding, the core plates 41 are deformed wavily at the roots of the spring connecting claws 41a due to molding distortion since the facings 42 are not coated on the root portions of the spring connecting claws, but the surfaces of the facings are maintained to be flat. Thus, when clamping of a clutch hub 2, a clutch drum 5 as multiple disc clamping elements is released, the problems of partial contact of a drum plate 3 with the core plates 41 of a driven plate 4 are eliminated, and thereby partial wear of the fencings 42 due to partial contact can be prevented.
