To provide a multiple-disc clutch comprising an assist cam opposed to one face of a disc portion of a center cam fixed to an output member, and a slipper cam opposed to the other face of the disc portion, having a reduced wight by reducing the number of components and cost while permitting torque transmission from the assist cam and the slipper cam to a clutch inner without using a bolt.
With the inner periphery of a cylinder portion 18a of the clutch inner 18, the outer periphery of the assist cam 24 spline-engages so as to permit the axial movement of the assist cam 24 relative to the clutch inner 18, and the outer periphery of the slipper cam 26 spline-engages so as to restrict the axial movement of the slipper cam 26 relative to the clutch inner 18 to the side of leaving at least the cylinder portion 22b.
