To provide a liquid crystal display device in which domains of liquid crystal molecules are stably formed.
A first signal line and a second signal line are formed on a first insulation substrate, and the second signal line is insulated from, and intersects, the first signal line. A pixel electrode is formed in each pixel defined by the intersection of the first signal line and the second signal line. A thin film transistor is connected to the first signal line, the second signal line, and the pixel electrode. A common electrode is formed on the second insulation substrate on the side facing the first insulation substrate. A liquid crystal layer is formed between the first insulation substrate and the second insulation substrate. A domain determination member is formed on at least one of the side of the second insulating substrate facing the first insulating substrate and the first insulating substrate, and divides the liquid crystal molecules of the liquid crystal layer in the pixel region into a plurality of domains, wherein the domain determination member has notches. The notch is at least one of a recess and a protrusion.
