Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a multiple-gain factor with a simple structure and with high precision by coupling a pool valve having a differential region receiving coupling pressure and a control region receiving trim control pressure and a plug valve receiving the trim control pressure in a valve bore.
SOLUTION: A spool valve 30 and a plug valve 32 are arranged in a valve bore 34 to form a trim valve 16. The pressure in a device feed port 70 communicated with a torque transmission mechanism 18 is communicated with a pressure-responsive differential region 78 (area A1). The pressure of a trim port 68 pushes the spool valve 30 to the left against a spring 48 and acts a pressure-responsive region (area A4) to push the plug valve 32 to the left. The boost control pressure selectively outputted from a port 66 acts in the opposite direction to the pressure of an end section 84. A gain factor can be adjusted by changing the ratio of A4/A1 in the design of the trim valve 16.
