To obtain a multiple glass plate suitable for use in warm districts at relatively low latitudes on environmental problems by forming a glass plate comprising a specific basic glass composition and a coloring component, and sealing the periphery of a multiple glass plate comprising the first glass plate and the second glass plate in an air-tight state.
This multiple glass plate is obtained by forming the first glass plate 1 comprising a basic glass composition comprising 65-80wt.% of SiO2, 0-5wt.% of Al2O3, 0-5wt.% of B2O3, 0-10wt.% of MgO, 5-15wt.% of CaO, etc., a coloring component containing 0.46-1.50wt.% (in terms of Fe2O3) of all iron oxides, and 22-56wt.% (in terms of Fe2O3) of FeO, forming a heat light-reflecting oxide film 3 on the surface of first glass plate 1, laminating the first glass plate 1 to the second glass plate 2 through a space so that the heat light-reflecting film is brought into contact with a closed air layer and subsequently integrally sealing the periphery of the laminated glass plates. Therein, the first glass plate 1 having the heat light-reflecting film 3 formed thereon and the second glass plate 2 are disposed 2 are disposed so as to form the air layer 4, and the periphery of the laminated glass plates is adhered with a sealer 6. Spacers 5 having a drier are disposed in the peripheral parts to stably hold the glass plates.
