Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the multiple reading/writing method by which requests exceeding (n) pieces can be received, even when a request program from a terminal is concentrated to a prescribed program, in the case (m) pieces of (n) multiple subsystems are juxtaposed.
CONSTITUTION: (m) pieces of storage controllers for controlling plural storage devices, and (m)×(n) pieces of input/output channels having a buffer memory are provided, the storage controller and the device are allowed to corresponde to each other, and in a prescribed time slot, a reading/writing operation between one storage controller and one input/output channel, and a reading/writing operation between the other storage controller and the other input/output channel are executed by keeping pace with each other, the reading/writing operation is executed by varying the combination of the storage controller and the input/ output channel at every time slot, and at every time of a prescribed number, read and write are executed by varying the combination of the storage controller and the input/output channel.
