Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a multiple orifice feed device for producing glass gobs.
CONSTITUTION: This multiple orifice glass feed device includes a plurality of plungers 12 which are closely arranged at specified intervals. Each plunger is adjusted independently of the other. The device is used together with a glass forehearth 11. The upper end of each plunger is oval in cross section and the lower end is round. The oval portions 14 of the plungers are provided in side by side relation with the long axis of each oval portion parallel to the long axis of the adjacent plungers.
