PURPOSE: To enable printing comparable in precision to a single impression cylinder type printing by providing a plurality of impression cylinders rotated in engagement with gears, and a plurality of form cylinders rotated in press- contact with the impression cylinders respectively.
CONSTITUTION: At least one gear 1 having a relatively larger diameter, a plurality of impression cylinders 2 rotated by the rotation of the gear 1, and form cylinders 3 rotated in press-contact with the impression cylinders 2 respectively, are provided. Between each adjacent pair of the impression cylinders 2, a UV irradiation device 5 is provided for hardening a UV ink transferred onto a paper P, which is fed between the impression cylinder and the form cylinder in each set of impression and form cylinders. In order to secure a period of time necessary for the UV ink to be hardened after irradiation with UV rays, each of the UV irradiation devices 5 is so disposed as to irradiate the paper with UV ray at a position proximate to the impression cylinder and the form cylinder. For each of the form cylinder 3, an ink supplying device is provided for supplying an ink to a form mounted on the form cylinder 3.
