Title:
MULTIPLE PLUNGER PUMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2519611
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a crankshaft from being long sized and to reduce a bending stress or twisting stress exerted on the crankshaft by shifting the central positions of respective suction ports and discharge ports arranged in a transverse direction forward and backward with respect to the direction for arranging them and arranging them in a plurality of rows.
CONSTITUTION: A large multiple plunger pump used for a cleaning operation 11 with a sea water in a sea farm is composed of a head part 2 of a pump body 1 provided with five plungers 3 (31 to 35) which are arranged in a transverse direction. The head part 2 is provided with five longitudinal plumbing passages 5 arranged in the transverse direction. In the upper and lower parts of the longitudinal plumbing passages 5, discharge ports 6 and suction ports are formed. On the valve seats formed on the respective discharge ports 6 and suction ports, discharge valve elements and suction valve elements are mounted. In this case, the positions of the respective plumbing passages 5 are shifted forward and backward with respect to the transverse direction. The center of the valve in the central position and the centers of the valves at both end positions are located on the same straight line of a rear row and residual valves are located on the same straight line of a front row, so that the length of a crankshaft 20 is reduced.
