Abstract:

To enable to suppress NOx and dust as much as precombustion chamber type and to surpass open combustion chamber type in thermal efficiency.

This multiple precombustion chamber type internal combustion engine 31 is equipped with main combustion chamber 11 surrounded by cylinder 1, piston 7 and cylinder head 9, two precombustion chambers 13 each of which is connected to a separate fuel injection pump 13, at least two nozzle holes 19 which, on one hand, connect in series each of precombustion chambers to main combustion chamber 11 pointing inward from both ends of the latter, and open at specified angle so that fuel jet gas injected will collide with top surface 23 of piston 7 on the other, and emulsion supply system supplying fuel injection pump with emulsion of fuel and water. In this case, fuel jet gas is injected simultaneously or with time lag from the two nozzle holes 19, so as to collide with each other.
