To accurately and speedy conduct a multiple stacking process for vertically stacking long articles sequentially carried from an upstream side through a carrying conveyer for every predetermined number without errors.

The long articles B1 to B5 sequentially carried through a first carrying conveyer A1 in an irregular mutual interval D1 and in a different posture is received by a relay conveyer 10, and intermittently stored on the relay conveyer 10 by an intermittent storage shutter device 20. Thus, the mutual interval of the long articles B1 to B5 is dissolved for a while and the posture is arranged. Next, the long articles B1 to B5 stored for the predetermined number is sequentially transferred to a pitcher conveyer 30 of which drive speed is higher than the relay conveyer 10 so as to newly set equal mutual interval and posture. After that, the long articles B1 to B5 are sequentially charged from the pitcher conveyer 30, and are received by an apron 41 of a receiver device 40 moving to a lower direction at an identical height position.
