PURPOSE: To permit one carrier wave to simultaneously transmit more than two programs in the same time zone by modulating one carrier wave while repeating the changeover of more than two video signals of different source in a short cycle.

CONSTITUTION: The transmission is performed by modulating the carrier wave 1 while repeatedly changing two signals, for example, a 'baseball' signal 2 and a 'rakugo' (the telling of long humorous stories) signal 3 in the very short cycle. On the reception side, a selection circuit selects a video signal of the same source. In short, for example, the 'baseball' signal 2 and the 'rakugo' signal 3 are switched in one screen unit, transmitted as the 'baseball' signal 2 and the 'rakugo' signal 3. On the reception side, the only program is selected by the selection mode. For example, when selecting the 'baseball' signal, the display is turned to the 'baseball' signal 2, void, 'baseball' signal 2, and void. The void is supplemented by video signal storage elements CF and RAM. When the 'baseball' signal is inputted first, it is outputted to the CRT as it is.
