To provide a multiple valve type engine provided with a plurality of suction valves or exhaust valves on each of cylinders capable of reducing a cost and improving durability and reliability of the engine by respectively selecting optimum materials for the suction valve or the exhaust valve.

The multiple valve type engine is provided with a plurality of suction or exhaustion valves 3a, 3b, 4a, 4b for each of the cylinders. With regard to the plurality of valves, the material of the valve different in its state of use from other valves is made different from those of the others so as to suitably meet the state of use.
