Abstract:
PURPOSE: To attain duplex communication whose speed is, e.g. 32Kbps through the use of a communication line of 64Kbps by multiplexing conversion data by the ADPCM system onto ISDN having a communication speed of 64Kbps.
CONSTITUTION: When a common abbreviation number is sent, a main control processor 1 reads a telephone number from a memory 4 and when a '#' key indicates the setting of the ADPCM system key, a μ-law/ADPCM conversion section 5 is started and converts a voice signal into a digital signal by the ADPCM system and sends a dial signal to a station while a transmission capability is set to a non-limit digital signal. Then a user-user information element is used to inform the communication employing the ADPCM system to the receiver side. The user-user information element is the information part used freely by the user and the ADPCM communication is identified by deciding in advance a code signal at the ADPCM communication.
