To provide a multiplex woven fabric which is integrated with an engaging function and cushion performance and is adequate for a skin material of sheet upholstery, etc.
The flower yarn of the yarn of the multiplex woven fabric in which knit chenille yarn exists only on one surface of the woven fabric consists of multifilament yarn having single fiber fineness of ≥3dr. This flower yarn projects like loops onto the flank of the knit chenille yarn and staisfies the relationship: 5≤(DT×DE/21/2, DE≤35, LC≥15, 0.3≤LH≤5, 1≤YD/LD≤3, where DT denotes the breaking strength (g/d) of the filament, DE denotes the elongation (%) at break of the filament, LC denotes the number (pieces/inch) of the loops, LH denotes the height (mm) of the loops, YD is the distance at which the loop yarn appears on the surface and submerges therein and LD denotes the width (mm) of the loops.
