Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the multiplier using the electric charge transfer element of miniaturized circuit configuration by composing the multiplier of a potential well arranged in the shape of a ring and an electric charge signal accumulator composed of plural potential wells arranged continuously to the potential well.
CONSTITUTION: Two electric charge signal accumulators each composed of plural potential wells P1 and P4 or P2 and P3 are connected to ring potential wells such as P5 or P7 out of at least eight potential wells P5-P12 respectively. The depth (potential level) of these potential wells P1-P12 is controlled by a potential applied from the outside to any correspondent electrode. An electric charge splitter for splitting an input electric charge into two electric charge packets is composed of three continuous potential wells P5-P7 and the remaining potential wells P8-P12 consisting the ring further execute additinally division and addition operations to this divided result so that the accuracy of division can be improved.
