Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a multipole circuit breaker in small size at a low cost having a trip characteristic of good accuracy in accordance with a current flowing in a main circuit conductor with no magnetic saturation even by a large current.
CONSTITUTION: A Hall element 8 is provided adjacently to a main circuit of each pole, and when a current flows simultaneously in the main circuit of each pole, a relational expression containing a correction constant obtained for obtaining a correction output of removing an influence by a current flowing in the main circuit of the respective other pole contained in an output of the Hall element of each pole is left as stored in a memory element of a CPU 19. A correction output is calculated from the output of the Hall element of each pole and the relational expression, and in accordance with this correction output, a transistor 21 is turned on to actuate a trip device 16.
