To provide a multistage flash type water production apparatus capable of reducing heat transfer load at a heat radiation part.
This multistage flash type water production apparatus is provided with: a brine heater 1; a first evaporator 2 serving as a heat recovery part, wherein brine of high temperature heated at the heater is introduced for flash evaporation and condensation is allowed by brine of low temperature supplied to the heater, for obtaining fresh water; and a second evaporator 3 serving as a heat radiation part, wherein the brine from the first evaporator 2 for is introduced for flash evaporation and condensation is allowed by sea water for cooling, for obtaining fresh water, and the cooling sea water which has gotten heat of condensation is discharged to the outside. The brine in the second evaporator 3 is supplied to the first evaporator 2 as brine for cooling of the first evaporator 2. Part of brine of high temperature introduced into the first evaporator 2 from the heater 1 is discharged outside from the final stage of the first evaporator as waste brine.
