Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly watertight intermediate casing forming a multistage pump casing by way of bolting in the axial direction of a pump and its manufacture.
SOLUTION: Plural intermediate casings 1 installed with an impeller and a guide vane inside individually forms a bottom part 3 into a cylindrical vesseled form having a turning shaft 5 in the orthogonal direction, in one side of a cylindrical peripheral surface part 2 by way of a vending part 4, and the bottom part 3 makes its inner wall form a guide wall to be contraposed to the guide vane 18 of a return passage 19. An end 6 of the cylindrical peripheral surface part 2 forms a projecting part projecting to the outer surface side by way of a recess part being recessed in the inner surface side and a rising wall rising from this recess part and it is terminated to an end face 10 which is mounted on a spigot finished surface in parallel with a top facenearer to the bending part 4 of the cylindrical peripheral surface part 2 of the adjacent next stage intermediate casing 1. Then, an end 12 of the bottom part 3 is bends at an inflow port 14 of the impeller 13, contacting with an inflow port flange of this impeller 13, and a wall inner surface of the rising wall contacts with a face contractor in parallel with a bottom outer surface nearer to the bending part 4 of the bottom part 3 of the adjacent next stage intermediate casing 1, while an inner diametral surface of the projecting part inserts an O-ring in a gap with an outer surface of the bending part 4 of the adjacent stage intermediate casing 1.
