PURPOSE: To make possible rolling of large modules by moving the gear to be rolled by the die width at every one reciprocation of die devices thereby subsequently rolling the same.

CONSTITUTION: Rolling is done by advancing 10a the gear 8 to be rolled toward dies 3a and 4a and moving the dies 3a and 4a forward in the arrow direction, thence the mounting table of the gear 8 to be rolled is returned to the original position, after which the die devices 3, 4 are retreated. Next, with the gear 8 to be rolled being faced toward the adjoining dies 3b, 4b, the mounting table is advanced 10b and the dies 3b, 4b are moved forward in the arrow direction to perform rolling. Thence, the mounting table of the gear 8 to be rolled is returned to the home position. The cycle of moving the respective dies forward and returning the same is repeated in the same manner to complete the rolling. When the gear 8 to be rolled and the die devices 3, 4 return the home position, the one cycle operation of the rolling of the work is completed.
