Abstract:
PURPOSE: To continuously prepare distillable org. polyisocyanates, preferably aliphatic or alicyclic diisocyanates, in a high selectivity and a high space time yield by an economical and simple method without using expensive starting material or auxiliaries and/or dangerous starting material or auxiliaries.
CONSTITUTION: This is a multistep process for the continuous preparation of org. polyisocyanates by reacting the corresponding org. polyamines with carboxyl acid serivatives and alcohols to give monomeric polyurethanes, pyrolyzing the polyurethanes, separating the polyisocyanates and worthless residues formed in this step in certain reaction steps and recycling the reusable by-products into earlier steps.
