In the multitype air conditioner with a plurality of outdoor units connected in parallel, each of the plurality of outdoor units is equipped with compressor rotation control means 9A, 9B, and 9C. One of the outdoor units is designated as a master unit. Then, the compressor rotation control means 9A of the master unit calculates an overall target rotation command position. Based on the command position, the overall target rotation command position of each outdoor unit is decided and then a command is issued. After that, the compressor rotation control means 9A, 9B, and 9C of each outdoor unit individually decides the target rotation command position of compressors 6A and 6B based on the target rotation command position of each outdoor unit.
